Sex toy review by Tess: Europe Magic Wand and Genius G-Spot attachment
If, like me, you love really powerful, deep vibrations, then a wand vibrator is generally a very good vibrator for you. A wand vibrator looks a bit like a microphone and usually has a fairly large head. Wand vibrators often run off the mains, but these days there are plenty of cordless wand vibrators too.
Yeeeears ago I had a Hitachi Magic Wand, that was my first wand vibrator and oh, how happy I was with it. A lot of people think the Europe Magic Wand is the same thing as a Hitachi Magic Wand (these days it is called the Magic Wand Original, because Hitachi no longer wanted its name attached to it), but that is not the case. Even if they do look a lot alike. I was very curious how the Europe Magic Wand would feel, so when I was given one to test by Willie.nl I was delighted. I also got a Genius attachment with it, made especially for the G-spot.
The packaging
I think the packaging of the Europe Magic Wand looks okay. A sturdy black box with the brand and photos of the wand. The black cardboard does show up scratches and damage very quickly. The packaging is nothing special but certainly not bad.
The packaging of the Genius attachment is very basic. Just a little black cardboard box with a see-through bit so that you can already spot the Genius, and the brand name and nothing more.
A peculiar manual
Both boxes also contain a manual. Yes, the Genius has its own manual too. At first I wondered what that was for, but it did turn out to be handy. I really had no idea that you could take the silicone part of the head of the Europe Magic Wand off. And that is genuinely necessary if you want to put a different attachment on it, otherwise it does not fit. I think that is really very good, because normally you just slide an attachment over the existing head. Which means you have two layers of silicone, and that absorbs quite a lot of vibration. So usually you no longer get such good vibrations with an attachment, and this system avoids that. That makes me happy.
I did find the manual of the wand vibrator odd. There were quite a few spelling mistakes in it to begin with, but it also said, for instance, that you must not ‘massage’ one spot for longer than 3 minutes at a time. I would never advise anyone to do something the manual says you must not do, but I have certainly used it for longer than three minutes myself, on the same spot. My clitoris gets very happy indeed with this EMW and is not going to settle for three minutes.
It also says: “A massage often brings a certain sexual satisfaction that you would not be counting on.” Yes, in the original it really is spelled ‘sexuele’, with an x, but seriously, you would not expect it? Give over. Yes, you can use this EMW perfectly well to massage with, but I think there are only a very, very few people who buy this device for that purpose alone. So I think we are all simply counting on the Europe Magic Wand giving us sexual satisfaction.
Buttons and settings
The magic wand is fairly large and has three buttons (the older version had only two). A power button, a stronger button and a softer button. There is a long cable on the wand, which I find very practical, because you do not always have a socket that close by. The Magic Wand has six vibration settings. They are all steady settings, there are no vibration patterns. That does not bother me, because steady is what I like best anyway.
Really good, deep vibrations
And those steady vibrations, they are really GOOD! Lovely deep vibrations and genuinely very powerful. I find setting one full-on already, setting six is really VERY strong. I love it. These days we know that a clitoris is a lot more than just the little bit you can see on the outside and that it simply carries on inside. Vibrations like these really do make sure my clitoris is stimulated on the inside as well, that is how deep the vibrations go.
I always prefer pinpoint stimulation myself, so I want the vibrations on a small area. This wand vibrator has quite a large head, so you stimulate a larger area with it. But by holding it at a bit of an angle and using more of the corner of the head, I managed to stimulate a somewhat smaller area than when you put the head on flat with the top. Coming is really no problem at all for me with this sex toy.
The Europe Magic Wand Genius attachment
So you can use the Genius attachment once you have first taken the ordinary head off. This is really very easy. Putting the Genius on is very simple too. On the inside you see a cross pattern and you find that same cross on the inner head of the Europe Magic Wand. That way you can see exactly how to fit it.
The Genius may only be used on the first four vibration settings. I find that very strange, because the Genius is also from the brand Europe Magic Wand and is therefore made especially for this wand vibrator. The attachment is fairly long and flexible and starts shaking about a bit when you switch the wand on. I think that if you put it on setting 5 or 6, the attachment shakes back and forth too much and that this is then not good for the motor. But that is what I think, I really do not know for sure. Still, it remains odd. When I am masturbating, I never pay attention to which setting I am on. It really could happen to me by accident to end up on setting 5 or 6 with the attachment. I hope I am not going to wreck my magic wand this way in future, because I love my wand.
So the Genius is narrow and very flexible. That makes inserting it slightly awkward, but once it is in, there is nothing more to it. Shape-wise I think it is very good, because it hits my G-spot exactly. I also really enjoyed making a bit of a rocking motion with it, that way I could stimulate my G-spot with really good vibrations and movement at the same time. And that works very well indeed for me. With a bit of effort my clitoris could also reach the lower part of the Genius, and then I had double stimulation. A little bump in that spot would have seemed even nicer and easier to me.
I also found the Genius lovely for simply stimulating my clitoris. So not using it internally, but just the tip of the Genius against my clitoris. Precisely because the Genius does shake a bit on the lower vibration settings, I thought that felt really lovely.
Conclusion
The Europe Magic Wand really is magic. A really very good, very powerful wand vibrator. If you are a power queen like me, and love hard, deep vibrations, then this is a really very good sex toy for you.
The Genius attachment is the first attachment I have ever used that I actually enjoyed. It is good that you place it directly onto the head, which means the vibrations are passed on perfectly. It is really lovely for stimulating your G-spot, but it is very nice on your clitoris too if you want to stimulate a slightly smaller area.
