Best wand vibrators 2026

tested by Jay · · Best Sex Toys · 12 min read · 2,708 words

A wand vibrator might well be the most recognisable sex toy there is. A handle, a round head and a motor that rumbles rather than buzzes, and that concept has barely changed in all these years. What has changed is what goes inside, and above all what the brands dream up around it: a head with a corner, a remote control, a pulse plate instead of an ordinary motor.

Tess wrote down what she thought were the best wand vibrators back in 2020, and I put together a top 5 in 2024. Since then, ten or so new wands have been tested on this site, and a list like that goes out of date fast. High time for another look, then, because which one should you actually get if you buy a wand today?

To answer that, I laid all the wand reviews of recent years side by side, read what Tess (and in two cases I myself) wrote about them in the conclusion, and checked what is still on sale now and for how much. That left five places, in a fixed order, and below them one more wand made specifically for the cock.

What to look for in a wand vibrator

Deep or shallow

So where does the difference between a good wand and a mediocre one lie? Not in how hard it can go, but in how it feels. A good wand gives deep, rumbling vibrations that reach well beyond the surface, whereas a mediocre one mostly buzzes and after a while numbs you rather than turns you on. Pay attention to what happens at the highest levels too, because according to Tess that is usually where the vibrations get shallower. With two of the toys below that is not the case, and I have said so where it applies.

Where the strength starts

At least as important is where the range begins. Some wands already come on strong at level one, which will make you very happy if you like power (Tess herself writes “the harder the better, really”), but if you are sensitive it is exactly the other way round. Wherever Tess wrote something about this, you will find it below with the toy.

The head

A classic wand has a large, round head that covers a good part of your vulva. That is lovely if you like broad stimulation, but Tess prefers a somewhat smaller head, because it works on the clitoris in a more targeted way, and a few manufacturers have set to work on exactly that. Big or small, which is better? That depends entirely on your own body, so do not just look at the motor, but also at the shape of the thing the vibrations come out of.

Waterproofing, noise and budget

Four of the five below can go in the shower, and that makes a difference, especially when cleaning them. Noise is the other point. A wand with a lot of power is rarely whisper-quiet, and if you have thin walls or housemates, you want to know that beforehand. As for budget: the prices on this list range from a few dozen euros to well over a hundred, and the most expensive is not automatically the best.

1. Fun Factory VIM

Fun factory vim review

The VIM is Fun Factory’s first wand, and it is one of the few toys that both Tess and I have reviewed. It is made almost entirely of silicone, with a textured head that holds on to lubricant and a handle that is relatively slim and gives a good grip. It has five levels and three patterns, but with the plus button held down you can also move steplessly between those levels, so you always find exactly the speed you are after.

What makes it special is the motor, with extra weight on both ends (Fun Factory calls it Weighted Rumble). That makes the vibrations deep, and they stay deep at the highest level too, something Tess rarely comes across with other wands. “It starts deep and it stays that way”, she wrote, and it is remarkably quiet while doing so. I tested it on my cock myself, from shaft to glans, but the surprise lay somewhere else: through my perineum, my prostate responded, without anything being inserted! Had I expected that? No. There is only one thing you really need to watch out for, and that is water. It is only splash-proof, so do not submerge it (rinsing it under the tap is fine).

Today it costs quite a bit less than when we tested it. Tess called it “everything I want from a wand vibrator”, and more than a year later, in her review of the We-Vibe Wand 2, it was still her favourite. Read her review of the Fun Factory VIM for the full story, and my review if you want to know what it does to a prostate.

Available from € 33.49 at Willie (in orange), for € 59.99 at Sinful (in blue) and for € 66.99 at Loveware.

2. We-Vibe Wand 2

We-vibe wand 2 review

The first We-Vibe Wand made a few odd choices, such as a joystick that felt like an old-fashioned light switch and an attachment whose purpose Tess still had not worked out after five years. The Wand 2 clears all that up. The attachments are gone, it has ordinary buttons, it is more compact, and you get ten modes with ten intensity levels each. It is waterproof, it works with the We-Vibe app, and it has Smart Silence. Switch that on and it only vibrates while it is touching a body, so if you put it down beside you after you come, it stops by itself.

The real difference is in the head. One side is round, like on any wand, but the other side tapers to a slightly sharper point and has a corner, and it is with that side that Tess gets a lot more targeted. The vibrations are powerful and deep, at the higher levels too. If you are sensitive, though, give it a miss, because “even on the gentlest level it already has power”. She is not keen on the app (she is not keen on any app), and she had to hold the Smart Silence button down for longer than the manual says. Does it suddenly do nothing at all while the battery is full? Then it is probably on travel lock (press plus and minus at the same time). Even so, in her review of the We-Vibe Wand 2 she calls it a very strong rival to the VIM.

Available from € 119.20 at Sinful (in purple), for € 139.00 at Cupido and Miss Steel and for € 159.00 from We-Vibe direct.

3. Wellness by Blush Eternal Wand

Wellness by blush eternal wand review

The Eternal Wand looks different from an ordinary wand. Just before the head there is a clear bend, the handle is flat, and it comes with a remote control, which you do not often see with wands. Tess recognised it straight away, because it is the spitting image of the Sola Sync from the same brand, a wand she raved about years ago and that is no longer on sale anywhere. It has five steady levels and five patterns, it is waterproof (the remote is not), and a single cable charges the wand and the remote at the same time.

That bend is why it is on this list. You can hold it easily while lying back comfortably, and it fits the body well, according to Tess also if you are on the curvier side. The head is relatively small, so the stimulation is more targeted than with a classic wand, and the vibrations are deep and powerful. The remote is mostly fun when you play together. Tess gave it to her D, who switched it off every time she was about to come, and that is exactly the kind of game a thing like this is meant for. In her review of the Eternal Wand there is not a single con about the toy itself, and you do not see that often.

Available from € 37.95 at bol.com and for € 60.99 at EasyToys, both in lavender.

4. Hot Octopuss Pulse Queen

Hot octopuss pulse queen review

Strictly speaking, the Pulse Queen is not a wand, because it does not vibrate. Inside is a pulse plate, a small plate that oscillates, a technique Hot Octopuss knows from its penis vibrators and that originally comes from medical research. The brand had something to make up for with Tess, because the Queen Bee from 2017 was big, clumsy, loud and partly made of porous material. The Pulse Queen is small, made of silicone, waterproof, and has nine steady levels and six patterns.

The plate sticks out like a little hill and tapers to a point, so you can also reach a clitoris that sits a bit deeper between the labia. According to Tess it feels “even deeper than normal deep vibrations”, and she describes it as a cross between a wand and a pinpoint vibrator, something she never thought could exist. There are two drawbacks, and both are real. It makes noise, so with housemates and thin walls this is not your toy (under the duvet it is not too bad, according to Tess), and at full power the battery lasts about forty minutes. Even so, it stays in her bedside drawer, and you can read why in her review of the Pulse Queen.

Available from € 79.99 at Sinful and for € 99.99 at Loveware.

5. Sinful Blue Luxy Magic Wand

Sinful blue luxy magic wand review

The Blue Luxy is Sinful’s own brand, and Tess suspects that at heart it is the same wand as the Rosy Gold Nouveau and the Teazers Black Lightning, which she tested earlier. It looks fairly standard (apart from that light blue colour), weighs just 316 grams, is made of silicone and ABS and is waterproof. It has ten settings, five of them steady, and the controls are as simple as they come: plus takes you one setting up, minus one setting down.

Because of that low weight, Tess did not expect much power, and she was half right. The vibrations are slightly less powerful than those of the Rosy Gold, but just as deep, and according to her that more than makes up for it. Coming was effortless, and when her shoulders were playing up, it also turned out to work well as a massager (although the vibrations weaken when you press harder, something most wands have). It costs a bit more than when she tested it, but it is still the cheapest real wand on this list. Want to know how it compares to its pricier sibling? Then read her review of the Blue Luxy and the one of the Rosy Gold Nouveau.

Available for € 38.99 at Sinful (in blue, also in other colours).

A wand for the cock: the Man.Wand Evo

Man. Wand evo review

Everything above works on a cock too, and the VIM proves it. But there is one wand made specifically for the penis, and I tested it earlier this year. The Man.Wand Evo from French brand Manwan is a compact, twenty-centimetre wand with a soft silicone head with two wings that fold around your glans and frenulum. So you do not need to move it up and down; you put it in place and let the motor do the work.

Does that work when you are not hard? Yes, with and without an erection. Without one you do have to find your sweet spot again more often, but the fact that it does not depend on a stiff cock makes it usable for a lot of people who miss out with other toys. The vibrations are deep and rumbly rather than buzzy, the handle does not vibrate along, and with the Crescendo function (hold the button down, let go where you want to stay) you build up in a very controlled way. It is fully waterproof. At full power you can hear it, though, and the head cannot be adjusted, so you work with the shape you get. For me it fitted fine. It is all in my review of the Man.Wand Evo, and you can read more about wands for the penis in wand vibrator for the penis.

Available from € 69.99 at Willie (in black) and for € 89.99 at Loveware (in Pine Grey, the colour tested).

Cleaning and care

All five have a silicone head, sometimes with a handle or casing made of ABS, so cleaning is not complicated. Rinse the head after use with lukewarm water and a mild soap or a toy cleaner, and let it dry properly before you put it away. With the VIM you do that under the tap and you do not submerge it, because it cannot handle that. The other four can go under water, but the remote of the Eternal Wand cannot.

You do not need lubricant with a wand, but it does make it feel nicer, and the textured head of the VIM even holds on to it extra well. Do use a water-based one, though, because silicone lubricant damages silicone toys.

More wands, including the older models, can be found on the overview page with all wand vibrators.

Which wand vibrator is the best?

For most people, the Fun Factory VIM: deep vibrations that stay deep even at the highest level, a range from very gentle to very hard, little noise, and on sale today from € 33.49. But the best one for you depends on what you are looking for.

If you want something more targeted, with an app or with Smart Silence, and you are not sensitive, go for the Wand 2. If you prefer to masturbate lying down, or want to hand control to someone else, the Eternal Wand.

If you want something that really feels different from a wand and noise does not bother you, the Pulse Queen. If you want a classic wand for as little money as possible, the Blue Luxy. And if you have a cock that does not always cooperate, the Man.Wand Evo.

Frequently asked questions about wand vibrators

What is a wand vibrator?

A vibrator with a handle and a large, round head that you use externally. A good wand gives deep, rumbling vibrations rather than a high-pitched buzz.

Can you use a wand vibrator on a penis too?

Yes. I use the Fun Factory VIM on my cock, and through the perineum even on my prostate. There are also wands made specifically for the penis, such as the Man.Wand Evo, which also works without an erection.

I am sensitive. Which wand suits me?

Look at where the range begins. The VIM goes from very gentle to very hard, whereas the We-Vibe Wand 2 is already strong on level one. Always start on the lowest level and build up from there.

Are wand vibrators waterproof?

Most new ones are, but not all. Of the five on this list, only the Fun Factory VIM is merely splash-proof, so it must not go under water. With the Eternal Wand, the wand is waterproof but the remote control is not.

Which lubricant should you use with a wand vibrator?

Water-based lubricant. Silicone lubricant damages silicone toys, and all the wands on this list have a silicone head.

How do you clean a wand vibrator?

Rinse the head with lukewarm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner and let it dry properly. If it is not fully waterproof, do this under the tap rather than submerging it.
